Your daughter is stronger
than her challenges.
At Ichud she’ll prove it.
Since 2000, our semi-inclusion model has been the envy of Brooklyn’s special education community.
We masterfully individualize and integrate academic support for students with learning disabilities within mainstream schools, creating confident and competent classroom learners.
Your daughter and us — in a class of our own.
I’m falling behind in every class
I’m failing every subject
I’m the dumbest kid in the universe
Thoughts like these relentlessly burn holes in your daughter’s self-worth.
Day after miserable day of sitting in classes she can’t understand, attempting to read words she can’t decipher, taking tests she’ll never pass, systematically destroys her fragile fragments of self.
You watch her lose her smile, her sparkle, as she slowly sinks into a blinding blur of taunting letters and numbers.
But what if she could be taught by people who actually believe that if children can’t learn the way we teach,
we must teach the way they learn.

“Ichud gave me the confidence and tools I needed to succeed.
They made me the person I am today.”
“Before high school, I was a scholastic misery. I wasn’t processing information during class, I wasn’t passing tests – I was completely drowning. But then I entered the ninth grade at Ichud, and my teachers reassured me that my learning disability did not define me. I was not a failure. For the first time in my life, I began getting 80s and 90s. It was a shock. I can honestly say that Ichud gave me the confidence and tools I needed to succeed. They made me the person I am today. My experience made me want to give back to the community, and today I’m a certified special ed teacher.”

Introducing the Ichud innovation
Education as individual as she is
The place where learning takes on new dimensions of self-discovery and academic recovery.
Our team at Ichud fills the gaps in your daughter’s learning by identifying and targeting her academic weaknesses, supporting her needs in a parallel self-contained class, and integrating her socially in a mainstream school.
But more significantly, we empower her.
With tools.
With resilience.
With our unflinching belief in her power to achieve.
At Ichud, she has our vote of confidence.

Staying in mainstream with multiple pull-out sessions a day is not ideal, nor effective. Neither are the plethora of P3s, paras, and therapists parading into your daughter’s classroom hourly.
Special Ed doesn’t have to be a second choice.
The best of both worlds converge at Ichud.
We’ve teamed up with these Brooklyn schools
to deliver individualization and integration.
Why Ichud?
Self-contained classes
Children hate being pulled out of classes. It’s embarrassing and isolating. At Ichud, our students learn in small classes staffed with a top-of-the-line support team and teachers. The measured pace and diverse teaching modalities ensure total skill mastery. Supported in real-time, with real results.
Mainstream integration
Seamless down to a science, our carefully customized mainstream plans allow students the opportunity to attend classes in mainstream and get lessons reviewed by our teachers. For some students, it’s a matter of time before they enjoy a full mainstream schedule, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to send them off.
Sync instead of sink, for best results.
Curriculum alignment
Imagine barely starting fractions when your grade is tackling algebra. At Ichud, we align our curriculum goals and subject mastery with mainstream, ensuring our students a well-rounded academic experience in both Judaic and secular studies, just like students in their grade.
Passing academic benchmarks
never felt so good.
Social Opportunities
Mainstream is not limited to academics – social integration is a prominent part of the Ichud success story. Our students enjoy extracurricular activities, leadership responsibilities, and beautiful friendships, both within and without mainstream. Think twice as many Shabbatons, trips, and events. Tempting, we know.
All business and no play? No way!
Related Services
Some of our most integral players, nay, cheerleaders, are our social workers, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists. They team up with the classroom teachers to support behavior management, executive function, fine motor skills, written expression, communication, and language-based comprehension. As learning is always best within context, our therapists focus on integrating and transferring mastered skills to the classroom.
Way beyond the therapy room.
Financial Accommodation
At Ichud, we’re here to help your child do great things — and we won’t let finances stand in our way. We’re determined to provide your child with whatever it takes for her to access her strengths. No child is — or ever was — denied a place in Ichud because of financial hardship.
When there’s a will, we’ll find the way.
“Their highly individualized level of support and mainstream
planning ensures that no student feels socially marginalized.”
“We at TTI are quite impressed with the Ichud program. While Ichud essentially operates as a self-contained program, they invest great care in creating an educational environment that mirrors mainstream schooling. The staff is incredibly caring and devoted, they take the children’s concerns and social needs seriously, and their highly individualized level of support and mainstream planning ensures that no student feels socially marginalized. ”
Raizel Reit, Founder and Director of TTI

“Ichud motivated my daughter to work past her challenges,
gave her enormous skills and confidence,
and taught her to love learning.”
“Before she entered Ichud in third grade my daughter was reading at a Pre-k level. Ichud motivated my daughter to work past her challenges, gave her enormous skills and confidence, and taught her to love learning. This fall she will be entering 8th grade almost fully mainstreamed. I only wish I had known about Ichud earlier.”
